One exercise to reclaim 14 hours back in your week

Good morning! It’s Sunday, March 23, 2025. Welcome to One Minute Weekend.

As modern adults, it’s getting harder and harder to build a better relationship with time.

I think about this a lot, having a 4 year old at home whom I want to spend every waking moment with.

Since the day she was born, I’ve been working to redefine my relationship with time. And today, I want to share a simple but powerful exercise that changed everything for me.

That’s me 👆

Six hours after my daughter was born, trying to figure out how to hold a baby.
(I’m still figuring it out, by the way!)

In that moment, I was also trying to figure out time.

How was I going to be fully present for her?

How could I give her my best without constantly feeling distracted by my other responsibilities and commitments?

How was I going to continue to care for myself so I could show up best for her and her Mom?

I quickly realized that my old way of thinking about time wasn’t going to work anymore.

It forced me to completely rebuild my lifestyle from the ground up.

And it started with my phone.

The average person spends 4 hours and 37 minutes on their phone a day.¹

In my coaching practice, the average is actually 6 hours and 5 minutes.

That’s nearly a full workday spent scrolling.

We walk around with little casino’s in our pockets.
– Stealing our focus.
– Hijacking our attention.
– Hooking us into endless dopamine loops.

And while we may be functioning, showing up and getting things done…

We’re quietly giving away our most valuable resource.

I’d bet that 98% of people reading this email have at least two full hours available to them stuck inside their phone.

That’s 14 hours a week!

What would you do with that time back?

Let’s put this to the test.

Step 1: Audit

Right now, open your phone and check your screen time report for the last 7 days.

Audit this time:

  • How many hours have you spent on your phone a day on average?

  • What apps are consuming the most time?

  • How much of it is productive?

  • How much of it is waste?

  • (Bonus points if you send me a screenshot of your report!)

I know some of it is valuable time, but in my experience, there’s at least two free hours per day you could have back.

Hours you could spend on things that matter more:

  • Time with your family

  • Time working on the important things in your business

  • Time growing in your job

  • Time learning a new skill

  • Time transforming your mind or body

Awareness is step one.

But knowing the problem isn’t enough.

You need a system to take back control.

That’s where the Monk Mode Protocol comes in.

The phone fortification system that helps you break free from the casino in your pocket and turn your phone back into a highly functional tool for your life.

Monk Mode is 3-minute set-up designed to help you reclaim your time, protect your energy and give you back control over how you spend your day.

The time you desire to have back in your life is right there inside your phone.

If you’re willing to take it back!

Much Love,
